My Daughter with Down-syndrome Wants to Live Independently

My daughter has down-syndrome and is twenty years old. Some of her friends that she has met at the day centre which she attends a couple of days a week, live independently with a care worker there to help.

My daughter is quite an independent young lady and has shown an interest in living on her own. She has a lot of needs, mainly requiring supervision and encouragement, but I believe it would be the best thing for her. I am currently in talks with the local authority trying to get her name on the social housing list.
